UNRG 2022 Holiday Giveback
This year’s Holiday Giveback from United Energy Corporation highlights the community of Bartlesville,
OK. Recognizing and appreciating the wonderful people who connect with our crews every day, we
chose a local non-profit to bless. UNRG is providing Christmas meals to some of the families and staff of
On the Rock Ministries. They unselfishly give of themselves day in and day out to serve the residents of
the Bartlesville community.
Financial challenges have cut across all spectrums of society this year. The high cost of groceries is
causing many families to cut back on even the essentials. It is our hope that United Energy can alleviate
some of this stress for the selected families.
On the Rock Ministries is a non-profit recreation center for students in 3rd through 12th grades. They
work with 600 kids a week to provide three free afterschool programs along with a host of other
activities. Students enjoy a place to feel like they belong. Positive role models and mentors help
students to become all they were created to be.
On the Rock staff and volunteers lead kids on an exciting adventure each week with skating, video
games, basketball, Thunderball, dodge ball, group games, character-building messages, and free snacks.
In addition, On the Rock provides educational tutoring three times a week for the students. They work
on gaining and improving reading and/or math skills and learning test-taking strategies through
educational websites. Many of the staff, students, and volunteers are able to participate because the
non-profit also provides free transportation and/or pickup from area elementary schools.
Newer additions to the On the Rock campus include:
A mini gym featuring a climbing wall
Soft mats for playing dodgeball
A playground
The Rock's specially designed Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course
A pavilion with a fire pit
A computer lab housed in our administration building
A skate park, boasting an 8-foot bowl and an exclusive street course
A refurbished 1950s soda fountain
The recreation building, the first building added to the campus in 1998, houses an arcade on free play, a
full stage - complete with lights and sound equipment, a snack bar and dining area, a space for arts and
crafts, a carnival booth, and The Rock's virtual reality booth.
Not only are there personal economic needs, but there are also organizational ones as well. To learn
more about, or to help continue the excellent work that On the Rock accomplishes in these young lives,
